Be a hero! ~ Make Yankeeprepper’s homemade hot fudge recipe

Homemade hot fudge! Just found this recipe on the Yankeeprepper YouTube channel, and it is excellent! His original version used molasses and brown sugar. That was much too strong a molasses flavor for my taste buds, so I immediately made a version using sugar and corn syrup. Ambrosia! My son loved it. My wife loved it.

I was a hero for the evening.

HOMEMADE (DIY) HOT FUDGE – Warning: SEXUALLY STIMULATING – YouTube.

Below is Yankeeprepper‘s wife’s recipe, which takes about 15 minutes to prepare. The result, as Yankeeprepper puts it, is “THE REAL DEAL, not the crap you buy in the store or get at Dairy Queen.”

Amen to that!

Yankeeprepper Homemade Hot Fudge Recipe

1/2 cup Cocoa
1 cup Sugar (can substitute brown sugar)
1 cup of corn syrup (recipe says you can substitute molasses, but I didn’t like result)
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/4 teaspoon of salt
3 TBSP butter
1 TBSP vanilla

For best results – Combine dry ingredients into medium saucepan and mix well with a whisk. Mix remaining ingredients (except for vanilla), and place pan on burner set to medium heat and stir more or less continuously. Once the concoction comes to rolling boil, set timer for three  minutes and keep stirring. After the three minutes are up, take the pan off the heat, let it cool a few minutes, and stir in the vanilla. As it cools further, it becomes quite thick and gooey. For a less gooey result (but why would you?), try boiling for less time. I find one and half minutes produces a nice consistency.

Enjoy!! And many thanks to the Yankeeprepper for sharing this great recipe for homemade hot fudge. It’s made my family very happy 🙂
