A Manual for Above-Knee (Trans-Femoral) Amputees
The objective of this manual is to make readily available to "above-knee" amputees, including persons who have had a knee disarticulation, hip-disarticulation or hemipelvectomy, the information generally provided to them orally by members of the treatment team- the medical doctor, the physical therapist, the prosthetist, and others. Included, also is additional information that we hope will be interesting and useful to persons with an amputation at the level of the knee and above.
