Lisa Coyle
Lisa Coyle

Lisa was a year behind me in high school, and while I can't say I knew her, I certainly admired her and the family she and John created.

I remember chatting with her at the last high school reunion, and she was so sweet and endearing. What a shock to know she is gone. Just doesn't seem possible or fair.

Copied below is the obituary that appeared in the Fresno Bee. Also included are the guest book entries, which the Bee said would be removed soon, and I felt the need to preserve them.

Oh, John...I am so sorry.

Lisa J. Coyle was the youngest daughter of Jim and Jane Watson. She attended St. Anthony, San Joaquin Memorial and California State University, Fresno. She was our shining light and will be greatly missed. Lisa was married to John C. Coyle. She was an extraordinary mother to Chase, Alex, Stuart, Jack and Max. She is also survived by her parents, Jim and Jane Watson; brother Mike; and sisters, Marianne and Michele. Visitation will be at Farewell Funeral Service on Monday, October 5, 2009, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Recitation of the Holy Rosary and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. FAREWELL 660 W. I saw this in the paper and was very saddened by it. Lisa was my good friend way back in 6th grade at Dailey Elementary. She's one that I've remembered fondly so many times over the years. I will continue to remember her (probably even more now) with great affection and happy childhood memories of softball. My deepest condolences and prayers are offered to her family and friends that will miss her so much than I. I especially pray that God blesses her children with peace, grace, and loving memories that turn from tears to smiles in the years to come.
