Baking “hard boiled” eggs
I tried it, and it works. But you gotta check that your oven temperature is accurate–most are not. Get an oven thermometer to confirm.
- Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees (F)
- Place raw eggs on oven rack positioned in center height of oven
- Bake eggs at 325 degrees for 30 minutes
I’m no electrician, but I would guess that this method uses more electricity than boiling since air is such a poor conductor of heat, but that’s just a gut call and not based on any evidence.
