I lost my GIMP toolbox? But even when I found it again, it was so different from the default toolbox that I couldn’t use it.
The solution is to reset the GIMP toolbox to it’s default settings via a slightly hidden button in the Preferences popup.
- Under the menu item GIMP, select Preferences (Windows users select Preferences under the File menu).
- Select Window Management
- Click on Reset Saved Window Positions to Default Values
- RESTART GIMP (the toolbox will not reset without a restart)
For you visual types (like myself), here’s a short video of the process by a youthful, drunk sounding, GIMP user.
