Absolutely brilliant presentation by Harvard law professor Lawrence Lessig, based on his book, Republic, Lost.

Here’s to the root strikers!

We’ve lost faith in our government because it is corrupt. The constitution declares that our representative government should depend on the people, it’s citizens. Instead, or government depends the money of corporation and the wealthy.

Removing the influence of money in government is no easy feat. Nothing short of amending the constitution will do, says Lessig. But success will NOT be won through the leadership of politicians. Politicians are too rewarded by the present system and loathe to reform it. But a sustained public outcry might just do the trick, state by state, person by person.
