My Mom loved rock music of all sorts. So when I came of age (musically speaking) and found a song and band I loved, it didn’t matter that the band had a satanic cult reputation and I was going to a Catholic school. If I liked Don’t Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult, that was just fine with Mom. She gave me the LP as a gift. No criticism or hesitation. “Just don’t make a big thing of it to the nuns, and you’ll be fine.”

Renegades ~ by X Ambassadors ~ Jeep Commercial

Yet again, my music taste is expanded by music used in a commercial. As Apple did for Feist’s “1,2,3,4”, Jeep does for the X Ambassadors’ “Renegades.” I simply can’t get the melody out of my head, nor the message out of my soul.

We all need to be Renegades at some point in our lives. It’s never too late, and the rewards are adventure, conflict, growth, and change—to name just a few.

Dean Zimmer found a “Drummer Wanted” ad and decided to try out for the spot. Unfortunately, Zimmer has arthrogryposis, a condition that severely restricts joint movement in his legs and arms. As a result, Zimmer doesn’t look like he could hold the drumsticks, let alone strike out a beat. Looks are deceiving
